Harry Schwartz

Harry Beryle Schwartz Mr. Harry Beryle Schwartz, 78, of Indian River died peacefully surrounded by loved ones at his residence on July 27, 2015. He was born to the late, Emery and Emma (Meadows) Schwartz in Harrisburg, Illinois on January 2, 1937. He worked as a heavy mechanic for General Motors and retired after 30 years. He has resided in Indian River for the last 25 years. Harry was a member of the UAW Local 594 in Pontiac, Michigan. He enjoyed various hobbies from wood carving and gardening, to being outdoors fishing and hunting, especially deer. He also valued his time spent with his late wife, Beverly and his family. He will be missed dearly. He is survived by sons, Robert (Debbie) Schwartz of Indian River; Bill (Sue) Schwartz of Gladwin; daughters, Lorrie Leinenberger of Gladwin; Jill Mitchell of Omaha, Nebraska; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Merna Craighead of Waterford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Emma Schwartz; and wife, Beverly. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Schwartz at this time.
