Harriet Angus

Harriet Mae Angus Harriet Mae Angus, 91, of Lewiston, MI, passed away on December 28, 2011 at the Hiland Cottage in Petoskey, MI. She was born on March 15, 1920 to Jay and Nellie (White) Roe in Detroit, MI. She married Sam Angus on May 14, 1937 in Hartland, MI. She has lived in Lewiston for the past 39 years, formerly of Fenton. She was a life member of the Fenton Eastern Star. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid bowler. She and her husband loved to travel all over the country, overseas, and even made four trips to Alaska together. They also enjoyed spending some of their winters in Texas and Arizona. Harriet is survived by her husband, Sam, of Lewiston, MI; sons, Bill (Bonnie) Angus of Roscommon, MI, and Jim (Valerie) Angus of Fenton, MI; daughters, Marilyn Brown of Mackinaw City, MI, and Joyce VanCamp of Clio, MI; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and a sister, June Sanford of London, Ontario. Funeral services for Mrs Angus will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Roger Steele officiating at the Green Funeral Home, Lewiston, MI,with cremation to follow. There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay, Hiland Cottage.
