H. Maurice Yokley H. Maurice Yokley, 82 of Lewiston, formerly of Detroit, MI, passed away on August 3, 2007 at his residence. He was born on August 24, 1924 to Franklin and Rose (Bullock) Yokley in Parlyville, KY. He married the Marry Ellen on August 19, 1955 in Ohio. He served his country during WWII in the Navy as part of the 75th Seabees in the South Pacific, after finishing his time with the Navy, he joined the Army and spent his years there in Alaska. He was a member of the American Legion Post 198 and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the 50+ Club in Lewiston. He loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener and fisherman. Reese is survived by his wife Mary Ellen of Lewiston, MI; daughter, Denise (Greg) Bereznoff of Rochester Hills, MI; son, David (Lynn) Yokley of Roseville, MI; grandchildren, Brent (Vera) Wolde, Nathan (Deborah) Wolke, and Amanda Yokely; great grandchildren, Polina, Jeffrey, and Baden. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeannie Wolke. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
