Grace Ann Edgar Mrs. Grace Ann Edgar, 93 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away on November 11, 2013 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born to the late, Samuel and Stella Ann (Feece) Nicodemus in Indiana on December 17, 1919. She married husband, Lafayette Edgar on December 30, 1943 in Athens, Indiana and celebrated 48 years of marriage before his passing in 1992. The couple vacationed in Atlanta often and permanently moved to the area in 1973, formerly of Burton. Grace enjoyed to do many things such as cooking, canning, reading, and gardening. She liked music and would often go to the Open Mic nights in Comins. She was an independent woman, doing all her own banking, housework, and driving on her own. Grace was very giving and would take people into her home treating them as her own children until they were able to get on their feet. Family was her number one priority and she cherished her time spent with them. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by sons, Wayne (Elizabeth) Edgar of Fenton; Jerry Edgar of New Orleans, Louisiana; daughter, Ellen (Tom) Ellenburg of Burton; grandchildren; Maanika Edgar-Bauder, William Edgar, Ayren Edgar, Timothy Edgar, Karrie Desgrange, and Kellie Ellenburg; 12 great-grandchildren; and her sister of 101 years of age, Lucille Lewis of Rochester, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Stella Nicodemus; husband, Lafayette Edgar; daughter, Cheryl Edgar; son, Joe Michael Edgar; brothers, Max, Robert, Pete, Ralph; and sister, Louise. The family would like to give special thanks to Velda Stevens, Sam Dice, Racheal Boggs and her children, Tori, CJ, Lily. Funeral services for Mrs. Edgar will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI; Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home 2-9 PM Thursday night. Interment will take place at Briley Twp Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edgar will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI; Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home 2-9 PM Thursday night. Interment will take place at Briley Twp Cemetery.
