Gordon F. Dropps Gordon Frederick Dropps, 75, of Hillman, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2007 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 11, 1932 to Henry and Anna (Kuyawa) Dropps in Flint, MI. He married the former Jacqueline Kempf on February 7, 1953 at St Michael's Catholic Church in Pontiac, MI. Gordon retired from Dancer, Fitzgerald, and Samples Advertising Co, where he worked for over 25 years. He also served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the St Augustine Catholic Church and also of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, writing, and reading. He loved to watch sports on TV, especially University of Michigan and Detroit Lions football. Above all else, Gordon loved to be with his family. Gordon is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; son Mike Dropps of Mackinac Island, MI; daughters, Kristine Dropps of Dumont, NJ, and Katherine Dropps of Bradley Beach, NJ; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ernish of Bergenfeild, NJ; brothers, Everett (Grace) Dropps, of Bloomfield Hills, MI, and Tim (Marge) Dropps of Waterford, MI; and a sister, Joyce Dropps of Farmington Hills, MI. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Dropps, and a brother Daniel Dropps. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 5, at 11:00 a.m. at St Augustine Catholic Church in Hillman, MI, Fr Vianney Sipulski OFM officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 until time of service.
