Goldie Kiser

Goldie Fern Kiser Mrs. Goldie Fern Kiser, 69 of Lachine, Michigan passed away at MediLodge of Hillman on July 13, 2014 with her loving husband at her side. She was born in Clintwood, Virginia to the late, Rufus and America (Puckett) Silcox on December 30, 1944. She moved to Lachine in 1982 and married, Woody Viers in Gaffney, North Carolina on July 9, 1993. Goldie worked at MediLodge for 21 years as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed trips to the casino, quilting, and loved her cats. Above everything she enjoyed her time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by husband, Woody Viers of Lachine; stepdaughters, Donna (Tim) Cuyndall of Monroe; Jeannie Holmes of Fredricksburg, Virginia; Nancy Dericotte of Clincho, Virginia; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Dennis (Kimberly) Silcox of Tramel, Virginia; Larry Rasnick of Hazel Park; and sister, Dovey Stinson of Hickory, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and America Silcox; and son, Ricky Kiser. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of her life at a later date.
