Ginette Henrietta Metzger Ginette Henrietta Metzger, 83, of Atlanta, MI passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at McReynold's Hall in Gaylord. She was born on March 29, 1933 to Henri and Yvette Corneueau in Saint Medar D'Aunis, France. She married Daniel Metzger on October 1, 1955 in France. Ginette worked on the telephone switchboard for the US Government during World War II. Once in Atlanta, she spent many years working at the AIS homes in the area, she also used to cook at Seven Acres and the old Atlanta Hotel. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Atlanta Eagles 4077. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, and crochet. She was known as "Frenchie" and owned and operated Frenchie's store in Atlanta at one point, selling crafts to those in need. Ginette is survived by her daughters, Danette Sivley of Lincoln Park, MI, Betty (Rick) McNall of Elmira, MI, Diana (Phil) Licht of Atlanta, MI, and Claudette (Chris) Moss of Tampa, FL; sons, Richard (Bessie) Metzger of Dolton, AL, and Gary Metzger of Pontiac, MI; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; and 8 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henri and Yvette; husband, Daniel; and grandson, Phillip Licht Jr. Funeral services for Mrs Metzger will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor David Fisher officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
