Geraldine Elizabeth Smith Geraldine Elizabeth Smith, 84, of Clare, MI formerly of Warren, passed away on May 18, 2013 at Prestige Place Assisted Living in Clare. She was born on November 15, 1928 to Edward and Laura (Kolb) in Detroit, MI. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lewiston and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Harrison. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and knitting. In her younger years, she was "Mrs Clean," you never dared to make a mess or wear your shoes into her home. Although she wasn't much of a cook, Geraldine loved cookbooks. She was devoted to her parents, having taken care of them for many years up until their last days. Geraldine is survived by her sister, Marcella Menendez of Lewiston, MI; and niece Donna Alessandri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith were held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lewiston, Michigan; Pastor Steven Thiel officiating. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit.
Geraldine is survived by her sister, Marcella Menendez of Lewiston, MI; and niece Donna Alessandri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith.
