Gerald "Skip" Arnold Vetrano Mr. Gerald "Skip" Arnold Vetrano, 70 of Lewiston, Michigan passed away at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey on January 17, 2015. He was born in San Francisco, California to Jesse and Elizabeth (Cline) Vetrano on February 17, 1944. He was a proud veteran and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Skip married wife, Julieanna (Vine) Vetrano in San Francisco on January 10, 1970 and together they celebrated 45 years of marriage before his passing. The couple moved to Lewiston in 1978 where Skip owned and operated Skip's Auto Repair from 1979-1997. He also snowplowed for many years. He was a member of the Lewiston Moose and enjoyed various hobbies, including playing pool. As an outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing for walleye and was an avid deer hunter. Skip lived on a schedule and was always on time. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Julieanna Vetrano of Lewiston; son, Joshua Vetrano of Lewiston; granddaughter, Zoe; father, Jesse Vetrano of San Francisco, California; brother, Charles (Pam) Vetrano of Sonoma, California; sisters, Nanette (Jerry) Uribe of San Jose, California; and Marjorie (Michael) Maciel of Tracy, California. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cornella Vetrano; and daughter, Melanie Vetrano. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials be made to the Friends of Lewiston Library or to the Lewiston Lioness Lions.
