Mr. Gerald Lee Ouellette, 72 of Lewiston, Michigan died at his home on May 24, 2019. He was born in Bay City, Michigan to the late, Norbert and Genevieve (Beekman) Ouellette on December 9, 1946. He moved from Bay City to Lewiston in 2000. Gerald retired in 1996 from the General Motors Steer and Gear Plant in Saginaw after 30 years of working as an inspector. After retiring, he worked at Garland Golf Course as a ranger for the next 18 years. On March 20, 1992 he married his wife, Noemi (Rodriguez) Ouellette and together the couple celebrated 27 years of marriage before his passing. He was a member of the American Legion Post 198 and past active member of the Mio Lions Club. He enjoyed deer hunting, golfing, and his golden retriever. He loved living up north and time spent with his family. Gerald will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Noemi Ouellette of Lewiston; son, James (Heather) Ouellette of Boston, Massachusetts; stepsons, Mario (Laurel) Gonzales of Bay City; Victor Gonzales of Rochester; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Patrick Ouellette of Bay City; and sisters, Barb Ouellette and Mary (Al) Glowiak both of Bay City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Genevieve Ouellette; brothers, Tom and Larry; and sister, Sharon Winters.
As were his wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial held in celebration of Gerald's life at the Lewiston Lions Park on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
