George David Bennett Mr. George David Bennett, 77 of Hillman, Michigan passed away at Alpena Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones on January 29, 2014. He was born to the late, James and Cora (Burdick) Bennett in Garnet, Michigan on January 24, 1937. George lived in Hillman since 1960, formerly from Flint where he worked in construction for many years for Rejallah Construction. He was an avid reader and enjoyed westerns by Louis L'Amour and he enjoyed to play cards; especially euchre. He often liked to cheat when he played. He like to have his coffee and take care of his cats, but above all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He is survived by son, Gregory (Brenda) Bennett Sr of Hillman; daughters, Diane (Mike) Orlando of Hillman; Colleen (Greg) Gambs of Hillman; stepsons, James Dodge of North Carolina; Clyde (Sandra) Dodge of Florida; stepdaughters, Patricia (Brian) Klein of Hillman; Ruth Ellen Avery of Hillman; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; brother, Thomas Maupin of Texas; sisters, Dora (Garry) Pagan of Arizona; Carroll Birdwell of Texas; Betty (Richard) Ziegler of Flushing. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cora Bennett; wife, Mary Ellen; stepsons, Donald Francisco; Darryl Francisco; granddaughter, Rachel Twining; and brothers, John and James Bennett. Funeral services for Mr. Bennett will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, February 01, 2014 at the Green Funeral Home; Hillman, Michigan; Pastor Nathan Struble officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM.

Funeral services for Mr. Bennett will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, February 01, 2014 at the Green Funeral Home; Hillman, Michigan; Pastor Nathan Struble officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM.
