Gary Duane Parker

Gary Duane Parker, 80 of Atlanta, Michigan died on April 22, 2025 at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord. He was welcomed into Heaven with outstretched arms by his late wife, Judith. Gary was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Duane and Dorothy (Barnes) Parker on January 17, 1945. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Gary has been a resident of Atlanta for the past 20+ years but has owned property in the area for the last 40 years. He loved animals, especially dogs. He is and will be deeply missed.

Gary is remembered by his sons, Jim Thornton, Mike (Tanya) Thornton, Pat Thornton, Tim (Lisa) Thornton; grandchildren, Mike, James, Nicholas, Brendan, Sean, and Timothy; and great-granddaughter, Blake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Dorothy Parker; wife, Judith; and many beloved pets.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Gary privately at this time.
