Freida Peltier

Freida Marie Peltier Freida Marie Peltier, 88, of Hillman, formerly of Atlanta, passed away on March 10, 2009 at her residence. She was born on January 23, 1921 to Walter and Irene (Barber) Emerick in Sanilac Co, MI. She married Herbert Peltier on September 12, 1938 in Mt Clemens, MI. She moved to the Atlanta area in 1969, then to Alberta MI in 1994, before coming to Hillman in 2000. She attended New Beginnings Ministry in Hillman. Freida loved to garden in the yard, she had quite a green thumb. She enjoyed taking walks outdoors, doing needlepoint, and was an avid reader. Freida is survived by her sons, Donald (Cindy) and Herbert (Jackie) both of Herron, MI, and Walter (Bonnie) of Alberta, MI; daughters, Deanna Witt of Peoria, AZ, and Bridgett (Chester) Shepherd of Hillman, MI; daughter in law, Susan Peltier of Farwell, MI; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; son, Richard; daughter Kay Marie; grandson, Tommy, sisters, Marion, Neeva, and Marjorie; and a brothers, Edsel and Jerry. Funeral services for Mrs Peltier will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI, at 11:00 AM, Pastor David Hill officiating. Interment will take place at Briley Twp Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held on Friday from 2-8 PM at the funeral home.
