Freddy Dean Price Mr. Freddy Dean Price, 70 of Atlanta, Michigan died unexpectedly on March 23, 2015 at his home. He was born in Canton, North Carolina the son of Freddie and Edna (Grooms) Price on May 26, 1944. He married wife, Wanda (Riley) Price in River Rouge, Michigan on February 1, 1967 and together they celebrated 48 years of marriage before his passing. Freddy worked as a supervisor in the steel industry for 30 years before retiring from Great Lakes Steel in Ecorse. He moved to Atlanta 37 years ago, formerly of River Rouge where he was the scout master for the Boy Scouts of America for 20 years. He enjoyed working on genealogy and loved American Indian crafts. Freddy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atlanta. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and will be dearly missed by them all. He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Price of Atlanta; sons, Richard (Leah) Price of Hillman; Jeremy (Tammy) Price of Alpena; daughters, Melinda (Dan) Daoust of Alpena; Heather Price of Caro; twelve grandchildren, Lynn, Michelle, Leeza, Laurie, Zachary, Mykayla, Emily, Mitchell, Andrew, Stewart, Joslynn, and Hannah; and great-grandchild, Corbin; brothers, Terry (Cathy) Price of Howell; Warren (Julie) Price of Canton; sisters, Lynda (Gary) Fowler of Phoenix, Arizona; and Patricia (Larry) Phillips of Franklinton, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Edna Price; brother, David; and sister, Jeannene Smith. Funeral services for Mr. Price will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Green Funeral Home; Atlanta, Michigan. Visitation will take place from 11:00AM until time of service.
