Frank A. Patzer Mr. Frank A. Patzer, 81 of Paradise Valley, Arizona passed away on July 28, 2013. He was born to the late, Frank and Bertha (Schoff) Patzer in Detroit, Michigan on June 4, 1932. He was a proud veteran and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War being recognized with two bronze stars and a purple heart. He married wife, Gloria (Wilson) Patzer in Atlanta, Michigan on August 22, 1964. The couple moved from Atlanta in 1964 to Arizona. Frank was the past owner and operator of Camp Tahome Boys Camp in Atlanta on Little Brush Lake. He was executive for the Theodore Roosevelt Boy scouts Council in Phoenix and was also a member of the Shepherd of Hills Congregational Church there as well. He loved big band music and played saxophone with many bands when he was young. He enjoyed to hike and was a big sports fan, especially baseball. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gloria Patzer of Paradise Valley, Arizona; sister-in-laws, Rosemary (George) Beauregard of Atlanta; Joyce Tunnicliffe of Atlanta; Marlene (Jule) Peterson of Houston, Alaska; Janet (Richard) Dines of Mesa, Arizona; 15 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews; and 8 great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bertha Patzer; and sister, Patricia Patzer. Funeral services for Mr. Patzer will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Interment will take place at Briley Twp Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gloria Patzer of Paradise Valley, Arizona; sister-in-laws, Rosemary (George) Beauregard of Atlanta; Joyce Tunnicliffe of Atlanta; Marlene (Jule) Peterson of Houston, Alaska; Janet (Richard) Dines of Mesa, Arizona; 15 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews; and 8 great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bertha Patzer; and sister, Patricia Patzer.
Funeral services for Mr. Patzer will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Interment will take place at Briley Twp Cemetery.
