Frances Iola Schultz-Bennett Mrs. Frances Iola Schultz-Bennett, 96 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully on August 28, 2017 at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord. She was born in Wolverine, Michigan to the late, William and Blanche (Bowman) Ealy on June 23, 1921. Iola has resided in Atlanta since 1949, formerly from Wolverine. She was a past member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston, past member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Atlanta. Iola enjoyed a variety of hobbies from crocheting, working outside in her flower beds, and reading. She was very close with her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Schultz of Atlanta; daughter, Ruth Ann (Tim) Olny of Leslie; grandchildren, Kari, Barbara, Joshua, and Douglas; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Annabella, and Lily; brother, William (Dorcas) Ealy of Boyne Falls; sisters, Marie (Stan) Sloan of Wolverine; Alberta Dunham of Vanderbilt; Shirley (Joseph) Seefried of Warren; and Hazel (Gerry) Flickinger of Vanderbilt. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Blanche Ealy; husbands, Lewis Schultz Sr and Gerald Bennett; son, Lewis "Sonny" Schultz Jr; brother, Ernest Ealy; and sister, Elaine Dunham. Funeral services for Mrs. Schultz-Bennett will take place at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta; Fr. Michael Connor officiating. Visitation will take place from 1:00PM until time of service.
