Frances Riemke

Frances Marie Riemke Frances Marie Riemke, 82, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on July 14, 2010 at her residence. She was born on December 18, 1927 in Flint, MI, to Earl and Wanda (Buxton) Fifield. She has lived in Atlanta for the past 15 yrs. She loved to sew and crochet, especially making blankets for family and friends and teaching the grandchildren to crochet. She also enjoyed cooking and camping. Frances is survived by her long term companion, Roger Roy of Atlanta, MI; children, Robert (Ann) Burkett of Kinde, MI, Wanetia (Tony) Slater of Kentucky, Cheryl (Ken) Coppler of Tawas, MI, Walter (Beth) Burkett of North Carolina, Thomas Freese of Texas, Timothy (Cindy Thorington) Freese of Millington, MI, Rayanne (Duane) Silvis of Augusta, KS, and Penni (Sueann Turnwald) Freese of Flint, MI; 22 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Gloria Cooper; and three brothers, Harold, Dick and Ron Fifield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wanda and Earl; brothers, Max, Chet, Bob, Jim, and Louis; and grandchildren, John Freese and William Burkett. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Ms Riemke will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Roger Steele officiating.
