Mrs. Faye Elizabeth Erving, 77 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital on December 31, 2020. She was born in Monroe, Michigan on February 2, 1943 to the late, Donald and Daisy (Mitchell) MacDonald. She married her husband, Duncan Erving, on August 24, 1963 and together the couple celebrated 57 years of marriage before her passing. The couple purchased land in Atlanta in 1963 and moved to the area permanently in 1968 after Duncan's honorable discharge from the United States Army. Faye was a member of the Lewiston Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed a variety of hobbies including, traveling, camping, fishing, cooking, gardening, and canning the vegetables she would grow. She will be missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Duncan Erving of Atlanta; son, Matthew Erving of Alger; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Mike (Heidi) MacDonald of Atlanta; and sister-in-law, Loretta Kemper of Detroit; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Erving of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Daisy MacDonald; son, Andrew Erving; and sister, Connie.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Faye privately at this time.
