Evelyn Rose Shepherd Evelyn Rose Shepherd, 67, of Lachine, passed away on November 24, 1008 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 25, 1942 to Edwin and Millie (Cripps) Klein in Wilson Twp, MI. She married James Shepherd on December 30, 1961 in Atlanta, MI. Evelyn lived in Lachine for the past 40+ years. She loved her flowers and gardening. She enjoyed her pet birds, bowling, and doing puzzles. She also liked to make plastic canvas for her family and friends. Evelyn is survived by her husband, James Sr, of Lachine, MI; son Jim Jr, of Lachine; daughters, Tina (Fred) Shepherd of Blissfield, MI, and Denise (Neil) Mulder of Laurel, MS; grandchildren, Jennifer, Courtney, Trina, Brittany, James III, and Faith; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Lee Shepherd; brothers, Loyal "Butch" and Bill; and sisters, Mary and Barbara. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI, Fr Mike Bell officiating. Visitation hours will be held from 4-8 PM at the funeral home on Friday. Interment will take place in the spring at Hillman Rust Twp Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society.
