Evelyn Ruth Lake Evelyn Ruth Lake, 79, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on September 12, 2010 at her residence. She was born on November 16, 1930 to Robert and Louisa (Green) Butlet in Hudson, MI. She married Fred Lake on October 1, 1946 in Detroit, MI. Prior to living in Atlanta, she lived in Lewiston, where she worked for Lewiston Luster for 10 years in quality control. She was a past member of the Lewiston Fun Ones Snowmobile Club. Evelyn was quite a seamstress, she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and knitting. She was an avid camper, and has camped all over Michigan over the years. Above all else, she loved to spend time with her family. Evelyn is survived by her children, Nancy (John) Schmandt of Atlanta, MI, Ruth (Marty) Roe of Westland, MI, Mary Paliza of Dearborn Heights, MI, Fred Lake Jr of Marion, OH, Lewis Lake of Kincheloe, MI, Violet (John) Allison of Atlanta, MI, Harold (Terry) Lake of Gaylord, MI, and Larry (Sherry) Lake of Cashion, AZ; 23 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Alice Anthony of Romulus, MI; and brother, Sam Butler of Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lake; sister, Dorothy Cerny; and brothers, Bill and Duane Butler. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and will be a memorial gathering for Mrs Lake on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at her daughter's residence in Atlanta.
