Mrs. Evelyn "Eve" Jean Bondarek, 80 of Johannesburg, Michigan died suddenly on April 15, 2021 at her home. She was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her parents and late son, Michael. Eve was born on December 5, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to Alexander and Sophia (Racicka) Bondarek. She resided in Johannesburg for the last 21 years and built her home in 1999. Many of her paintings now hang in the homes of her grandchildren. Eve was very active and loved to go camping and swimming at Bear Lake, as well as fish. She enjoyed to ride motorcycles and horses, and was known as the Annie Oakley of her time for her sharp shooting skills. She was also an avid hunter, a green thumb, an excellent cook, and an all around wonderful lady who's spunk and the joy she brought to others will be missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Moore of Marysville; grandchildren, Danelle Moore; Levon Lindsay; Christopher Burleigh; Corian Burleigh; and Karen Burleigh; 16 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Gertrude Lucido of Gladwin; Eleanor Eubank of Johannesburg; Teresa Bondarek of Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
