Estill Hall Estill Hall of Hillman passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007 at MediLodge of Hillman following a short illness. Estill was born June 23, 1925 in Kentucky the son of William and Sallie (Bays) Hall. He retired from Great Lakes Steel Co. after more than 30 years in plant protection. He was a very accomplished country and blue grass musician and was honored at a concert in Traverse City by The Oak Ridge Boys. He also played at the Grand Old Opry in Nashville. Estill was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Flat Rock, Michigan, the Church of Christ and loved the outdoors. Estill is survived by his daughters Gloria (Ron) Hodgins of Traverse City, MI, Judy (Jack) Gunderson of Redford, MI and Janice Kendrick of Hillman, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and their mother Alberta in 1996. He is also survived by Rick (Sarah) Carroll, Jamie (Ken) Barnett and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren of his companion Ethel Carroll who also preceded him in death in 2004. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Green Funeral Home Hillman, Pastor Larry Kirby officiating. Committal services will be held Friday, June 15, 2007 at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock MI. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
