Esther Edgar

Esther Emma Edgar Esther Emma Edgar, 86, of Hillman, MI, passed away at Medilodge of Hillman Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 07, 2009. She was born on July 30, 1922 to William and Emma (Kisser) Cordes in Montmorency Twp, MI. She married John Edgar in 1947 at St Johns Lutheran Church, where she is still a member of the church and ladies aide group. After getting married her and John moved to Pontiac, where she worked at Twist Drill in Rochester, they returned to Hillman in 1958. She helped her family at the dairy farm for many years. She loved to cook and cooked for many weddings over the years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting. She was an avid gardener. Esther is survived by her son, Ronald of Hillman, MI; grandsons, John (Mindy) Edgar, and Thomas Edgar, both of Hillman, MI; great grandchild, Tatum; and a sister in law, Rosalie Cordes of Hillman. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and siblings, Tima Timm, Emma Bahrke, Ida Wieland, and Arthur, Carl, Gretchen, Louise, and Gertrude Cordes. Funeral services for Mrs Edgar will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St John's Lutheran Church, Pastor Jason Mandley officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Friday from 4-8 PM and again on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
