Ervin Edward Williams Ervin Edward Williams, 85, of Rust Twp, MI, passed away on June 26, 2011 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 21, 1926 in Rust Twp to Josiah and Hazel (Carter) Williams. Ervin spent most of his life in Rust Twp. He worked as a mechanic for many years, loved to tinker, and could fix just about anything. He also did some auto body repair and worked as a woodcutter. Ervin owned and operated the Standard Station out at the M32-M33 Junction, right next to the old Fox's Den. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a people person. Ervin is survived by his daughters, Katherine (Tom) Davis of Burton, MI, and Brenda Johnson of Alpena, MI; his "extra children" Bud and Karen Rose; grandchildren, Lesa and Kendra Zukowski, Tommy (Jen) Davis, Sheri Fairchild, Chad Davis, Mark Williams, Brad Martindale, Tim Johnson, Monica Rose-Marberg, and Lee (Laurie) Rose; great grandchildren, Kailyn, Nicholas, Montana, Megan, Mallory, Destiny, Logan, and Analese; great great grandchild, Kiera; sisters, Caroline Schongost of Hillman, MI, and Bertha Klein of New Port Ritchie, FL, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Nancy; son, Jim; parents, Hazel and Josiah; and siblings, Willard, Henry, Dorothy, Violet, and Anna. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services for Mr Williams planned at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home.
