Elsa Dahn

Elsa May Seaman Dahn Mrs. Elsa May Seaman Dahn, 88, of Hillman, MI passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 1, 1923 to Albert and Ida Northrup in Midland, MI. Elsie lived most of her life in the Hillman area, and was a member of the Hillman Free Methodist Church and VFW #2356 Ladies Auxiliary there. She worked for Essex Wire for many years before retiring, she also worked as a midwife and housekeeper as well. She was quite a seamstress, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and quilting. Elsie was an avid reader and loved to garden and grow flowers. At one point in her life, she even had her own little farm, where she milked the cows, and even made her own butter. Elsa is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Banks of Atlanta, MI; 4 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Joy (Thomas) Nelson of Greenville, MI, and Lillian Hayes of Flint, MI. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Charles Hawk, Dick Seaman, and John Dahn. Funeral services for Mrs. Dahn will be held on April 26, 2012, at 3:00 PM at the Free Methodist Chuch, Hillman, Pastor Robert Coen officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM and again on Thursday from 2:00 PM until time of service at the church. Interment will take place at Hillman Rust Twp Cemetery.
