Ellen Rowley

Ellen Louise Rowley Ellen Louise Rowley, 68, of Lewiston, passed away on September 19, 2009 at her residence. She was born on August 9, 1941 to Denver and Lorena (Weaver) Hinton in Lancaster, OH. She married William Eric Rowley of June 25, 1960 in Lancaster. She has lived in Lewiston for the past year and a half formerly of Montpelier, OH, having vacationed here since 1984. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Bryan, OH, and a longstanding member of the Ladies of the Moose and Eagles Clubs in Montpelier, OH. She loved to play BINGO and any card game, and was a life master at duplicate bridge. She was an avid Morel mushroom hunter and huge Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. She especially loved to have campfires and smores with her grandchildren. Ellen is survived by her husband, Eric; son, William Jeffery (Cheryl) Rowley of Naperville, FL; daughters, Cheryl Rowley of Goshen, IN, and Jill (Jeremy) Clinger of Montpelier, OH; grandchildren, Lacey, Sean, Scott, Jake, and Jenna; and a sister, Lorie (Jerry) Kuyoth of Dublin, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, Denver and Lorena; and a brother, Thomas Hinton. Memorial services will be held on October 17, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home at 206 N Lynn St, Byron, OH. Memorials have been suggested to Hospice of the Sunrise Shore, 109 N Second Ave, Alpena, MI 49707.
