Ellen May Baker Mrs. Ellen May Baker, 88 of Flint, Michigan died peacefully at home on February 27, 2016. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan to the late, Alfred and Margaret (Decator) Hawkins on March 11, 1927. She married her husband, Conrad Baker in Mt. Morris on June 17, 1976. He preceded her in death in 2007. Ellen lived in Flint for over sixty years. She enjoyed crocheting, taking casino trips, playing cards, especially Canasta, and gardening. She especially loved her flowers. Most importantly, Ellen took care of her children and loved her family very much. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by sons, Tom (Belinda) White of Davison; Donnie (Phyllis) White of Flint; daughters, Ruth Murphy of Atlanta; Margaret (John) Lewicki of Flint; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary McDonald of Nokomis, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Margaret Hawkins; husband, Conrad; son, Johnnie White; son-in-law, Boyd Murphy; grandson, Bryan White; brothers, Ed, Alfred, and Paul Hawkins; and sister, Margaret Carroll. Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Green Funeral Home; Atlanta; Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Mid Michigan Hospice in Flint.
