Ellen Fay Adams Ellen Fay Adams, 78, of Atlanta, passed away on Friday, December 08, 2006 at Alpena Regional Medical Center in Alpena. She was born on December 20, 1927 to Chester and Lydia (Diehr) Sleep in Farmington, MI. She married Robert Adams on December 22, 1963. Ellen has lived in Atlanta since 1971 formerly of Pontiac, MI. She was a member of the Atlanta Bible Church. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She loved to golf and enjoyed music in her younger years. She liked to admire the natural, untouched beauty of the trees and wildlife at her property. Above all else she loved her family and especially her grandchildren. Ellen is survived by her daughter, Karen (Sam) Dickenson of Atlanta, MI; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Gerald (June) Sleep of Fenton, MI; sisters, Margaret Thayer of Atlanta, MI, Freida (Earl) Jagger of Detroit, MI, and Dawn (Larry) Freeman of Highland, MI; and a sister in law, Gayle Sleep of White Lake, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Gerald Kenneth Palmer; and brother, Ron Sleep. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Interment will take place at Briley Twp Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 PM Monday until time of service.
