Eleanor Kolcan

Eleanor Mary Kolcan Eleanor Mary Kolcan, 84, of Hillman, passed away at Medilodge Nursing Home on Friday, January 23, 2009. She was born on December 7, 1924 to Stephen and Mary (Grigger) Kolcan in Lakewood, OH. She married Richard Kolcan on October 2, 1943 in Cleveland, OH. She has lived in Hillman since 1985 formerly of Columbia Station, OH. She was a member of St Augustine Catholic Church in Hillman. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards and BINGO. She was a wildlife enthusiast. Eleanor was envolved with the PTA when her children were growing up. Her religion was her passion and was very important to her. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Richard of Hillman, MI; sons, Ken of Lachine, MI, Karl (Karen) of Waterford, MI, and Wayne (Deborah) of Brookpark, OH; daughters, Karen (Ed) McCormick of Brunswick, OH, and Denice (Mike) Calhoon of Elyria, OH; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Mohnickey. Funeral services for Mrs Kolcan will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at St Augustine Catholic Church, Fr Wayne Dziekan officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Monday, from 5-8 PM at the Green Funeral Home, with vigil service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home, and again on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service.
