Edwin Vanpamel

Edwin Charles VanPamel Mr. Edwin Charles VanPamel, 84, of Hillman, MI, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Tendercare Alpena. He was born on January 26, 1927 to Albin and Gabbrielle (Boens) VanPamel in Milan, IL. Edwin served his country during WWII in the US Army. He has lived in Hillman for over 50 yrs, where he owned and operated his own farm. He also worked as a carpenter for Kenyon Construction for about 10 years. Ed enjoyed golfing at one time in his life, but always loved to hunt and fish, especially his fishing trips to Canada. Edwin is survived by his son, Edwin Jr (Carol) VanPamel of Hillman, MI; daughter, Marciel Kihn of Lansing, MI; grandchildren, Jeff, Brad, Robyn, Tamyra, and Scott; numerous step-grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wives, Evelyn and Alfreda; grandson, Tom; brother, Frank; and sisters, Hilda and Bernice. Funeral services for Mr VanPamel will be held on August 19, 2011, at 4:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI, Pastor Robert Coen officiating. Visitation hours will be held from 2:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Hillman-Rust Twp Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home.
