Mr. Edward Arnold Schroeder, 80 of Lewiston, Michigan died suddenly at his home on April 20, 2023. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 19, 1942, to the late Arnold and Pauline (Larson) Schroeder. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post #198. He drove the school bus for Johannesburg Lewiston Schools in the past and was also a licensed contractor. Aside from work, Ed enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He loved camping in the upper peninsula and trips to the casino there. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and farming. Family was very important to Ed, and he cherished the time he spent with them. He is and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his children, Arnold (Kitty) Schroeder of St. Mary's, Georgia; Renee (Tim) Nielson of Gaylord; Gordon (Andi) Schroeder of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania; Heidi (Dennis) Villeneuve of Atlanta; grandchildren, Keegan, Brett, Marshall, Michael, Taylor, Joel, Zoey, Brittney, Alicia, Chelsea, Austin, Brianna, Timmy, Aidan; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Nietiedt of Mio; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Pauline Schroeder; and brother-in-law, Hank Nietiedt.
Funeral services for Mr. Schroeder will take place at noon on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until time of service.
