Edward Wilson Johnson Edward Wilson Johnson, 76, of Atlanta, passed away on July 16, 2010 at his residence. He was born on October 14, 1933 to Oliver and Anna (Koliba) Johnson in Detroit, MI. He married the former Betty Jo Rodgers on July 30, 1960 in Macomb Co, MI. He has lived in Atlanta since 1990 formerly of Warren, MI. Ed owned and operated Johnson Enterprise where he worked as an auto technician and ran his own drag racing team, driving "Dirty Daddy" for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atlanta. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed time spent boating and fishing on Rush Lake. Above all else, he loved to spend time with his family. Ed is survived by his wife, Betty of Atlanta, MI; children, Kathy (Fred) Palm of Brighton, MI; Gregory (Debbie) Johson of Satellite Beach, FL, and Anna Balabuch of Washington, MI; grandchildren, Brooke (Gary) Holvick, Justin Palm, Michael Balabuch, Christie Balabuch, Jacob Balabuch, Eddie Johnson, Cara Connan, and Sarah Johnson; great grandchildren, Jacob Holvick and Mia Rose Holvick; brothers, Robert (Verenda) Johnson of Kentucky, and Thomas (Sandy) Johnson of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son in law, Tom Balabuch, and a sister in law, Jan Johnson. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 3-9 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI. Further visitation will be held on Tuesday at the Potere Modetz Funeral Home in Rochester, MI, with services Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Christian Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rochester Hills, MI. Memorials have been suggested to Hospice of Michigan, Alpena.
