Edward "Bo" Bobal Edward "Bo" Bobal, 82, a Korean War veteran, passed away at his home on February 24, 2011 after a battle with cancer. He was born on February 5, 1929 to John and Mary (Kaderiak) Bobal in Detroit, MI. He served in the US Navy from 1952-1955 on the LST Terrebonne Parish. He was able to attend 8 of the reunions with his shipmates from the LST. He served on the Inkster Reserve Police Force and retired from Conrail Railroad after 30 yrs of service. At one time, he also owned half the interest of the Castle Bar in Detroit. He retired to Hillman in 1991. Bo is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Hillman, MI; daughters, Kim Tlapa of Arizona, and Karen (Tracy) Bartow of Indiana; sons, Mark (Raven) Young of Taylord, MI, and Peter Young of Detroit, MI; and 5 grandchdilren. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Mr Bobal will be held at a later date. The family wishes that special thanks goes out to Hopsice of Michigan, his nurse, Danielle and helper, Sarah, and also with Dr Dana Panknin.. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home.
