Edna Stevens

Edna A. Stevens Edna A Stevens, 92 of Atlanta passed away Sunday, February 4, 2007 following an extended illness. Edna was born April 6, 1914, the daughter of Robert and Ella (Samples) Edgar. She was a schoolteacher in Comins and Hillman for more than 34 years retiring in 1974. Edna was a member of St Mark's Episcopal Church and The Rebecca Lodge in Atlanta, and the CMU Alumni Association. She truly enjoyed helping children and maintained a relationship with many of her students through the years Edna is survived by her son Jeff (Karen) Stevens of Burton, Mi, daughters Louvia Forstner of Burton Mi, and Velda Stevens of Atlanta, 14 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Olin, son, Edgar, son in law Larry Cornell and brothers Lafayette Edgar and Kenneth Edgar Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at St Mark's Episcopal Church in Atlanta. Burial will be in Loud Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home from 2-9 P M Thursday and after 11:00 AM Friday at the St Mark's Church Condolences may be sent to the family at www.greenfuneralhomes.com.
