Edna Morrison Mrs. Edna Morrison, 103 of Hillman, Michigan passed away on August 23, 2014 at MediLodge of Hillman. She was born to the late, Robert and Mary (Buchler) Werner in Montmorency Township, Michigan on July 10, 1911. She married husband, James Morrison on December 25, 1930 at St. John's Lutheran Church and together they raised seven children before his passing in 1986. Edna lived most of her life in Hillman and was a member at St. John's for many years where her father helped in starting the church. Edna loved to fish, especially at Grass Lake and enjoyed gardening every year. She also liked to play the harmonica when she was younger. Throughout life family was always her number one priority and she enjoyed her time spent with them and will be greatly missed. She is survived by sons, James (Betty) Morrison of Frostproof, Florida; Don (Harriet) Morrison of Hillman; Merlin (Nancy) Morrison of Pontiac; daughters, Barb Shields of Hillman; Delores Schenburn of Madison Heights; Geri Sauls of Novi; 25 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Werner; husband, James Morrison; son, Doyle; brothers, Ewald; Robert; Gerhardt; Walter; Herman; Herbert; Harold; August; Edwin; Alfred; Art; sisters, Flora Curtis; Anna Withun; Marie Achatz; grandchildren, Steven Hurley; and Lora Schenburn. Funeral services for Mrs. Morrison will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the St. John's Lutheran Church; Royston, Michigan; Pastor Jason Mandley officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 2:00PM until 8:00PM. Internment will follow services at Montmorency Township Cemetery.
