Edna May Mager Mrs. Edna May Mager, 79 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away peacefully at Stonegate Health Campus in Lapeer on July 19, 2014. She was born to the late, Clare and Iva (Glaizer) Welch on May 6, 1935. She married husband, Joe Mager in 2006 and moved to Atlanta, formerly of Pennsylvania. The two celebrated the last eight years of marriage before her passing. Edna worked as a missionary for WEC-International (Worldwide Evangelical Crusade) and also served as a missionary in West Africa. Her hobbies included stamp collecting and genealogy. Above these things, she enjoyed to spend time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Mager of Atlanta; stepchildren, Glenn (Shirley) Mager of Florida; Georgina (Don) Jenkins of Lapeer; David (Zee) Mager of Lapeer; Sue (Marvin) Parrish of Kentucky; and Anita (Thomas) Triplett of Lapeer; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister, Evelyn Weakland of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clare and Iva Welch; stepfather, Harry Martin; brother, Cecil; and sister, Lilliann. Funeral services for Mrs. Mager will take place at 11:00AM, Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church; Gaylord, Michigan with Pastor Jay Chambers officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM at Green Funeral Home; Atlanta. Internment will take place at 3:00PM on Wednesday at Briley Township Cemetery.
