Edith Maryann Wood Edith Maryann Wood, 73, of Atlanta, Michigan, passed away on September 30, 2017 at her home. She was born on August 23, 1944 to James and Rena (Campbell) Martin in Martin, Tennessee. She married Howard Wood on March 30, 1963 in Lansing, Michigan, celebrating 54 years of marriage before her passing. Maryann has lived in Atlanta since 2008, formerly of Potterville, Michigan. She retired from General Motor's in 2004 in final paint at the Fisher Body plant. She was very interested in genealogy when she was able, even serving as the president of the Genealogy Society of Ingham County at one time. She was a founding member of the Potterville Sports Boosters. Maryann enjoyed collecting Tom Clark gnomes, was an avid reader of romance and mystery novels, was a power walker before it was a thing, and loved to bake, especially making cakes for birthdays, weddings, and other special occasions. Above all else she loved spending time and traveling with family. She will be dearly missed. Maryann is survived by her husband, Howard; daughter, Richelle (Tadd) Deo of Potterville, Michigan; son Todd (Amy) Wood of Beaverton, Michigan; grandchildren, Joseph, Connor, Ryanne (Jacob), Jessica, and Carli; brother, Richard (Pam) Martin of Bybee, Tennessee; and sister, Norma Jean Martin of Greenville, Tennessee;. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rena; and a brother, Ronnie Martin. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service for Mrs. Wood on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00AM at St Mark's Episcopal Church; Atlanta.
Maryann is survived by her husband, Howard; daughter, Richelle (Tadd) Deo of Potterville, Michigan; son Todd (Amy) Wood of Beaverton, Michigan; grandchildren, Joseph, Connor, Ryanne (Jacob), Jessica, and Carli; brother, Richard (Pam) Martin of Bybee, Tennessee; and sister, Norma Jean Martin of Greenville, Tennessee;. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rena; and a brother, Ronnie Martin.
As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service for Mrs. Wood on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00AM at St Mark's Episcopal Church; Atlanta.
