Earl S. Detweiler Earl Samuel Detweiler, 78, of Lewiston, passed away on December 16, 2008 at Grayling Mercy Hospital. He was born on June 23, 1930 to Earl and Ethel (Wright) Detweiler in Detroit, MI. He married the former Lois Miller in 19749 in Detroit. He has lived in Lewiston since 1991 formerly of Southfield, MI. He retired from GM as a stylist and pattern maker in 1989 after 35+ yrs of service. He was a member of the St Johns Lutheran Church in Mio, MI. He was enjoyed participating in both golf and bowling leagues. He was an avid hunter. He loved to be with his family. Earl is survived by his wife, Lois of Lewiston, MI; daughers, Diane (Gary) Koenig of Highland, MI, Denise (Alan) Irvine of Rose City, MI, Donna (Lanny) Kirkey of Clarkston, MI, Dawn (Tim) Bartels of Gresham, OR, and Deanna (Tom) Pentis of Lake Orion, MI; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley Schuessler and Dorothy Wright, both of Westland, MI.
