Earl Cohoon

Mr. Earl Russell Cohoon, 82 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey on April 4, 2022. He was born in Hillman, Michigan on March 4, 1940 to the late, Russell and Doris (Kenyon) Cohoon. Earl married his wife, Deanna (Thybault) Cohoon on October 24, 1959 and together the couple celebrated 62 years of marriage before his passing. Earl worked as a supervisor for General Motors for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Earl enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling, and woodworking, but most importantly, time spent with family. He will be dearly missed.

Earl is survived by his loving wife, Deanna Cohoon of Hillman; sons, Mark Cohoon of Holly; Chris (Mary) Cohoon of Clarkston; grandchildren, Tyler (Chelsea), Lance (Summer), great-granddaughter, Cora; siblings, Albert (Lettie) Cohoon of Florida; Judy Jidas of Clarkston; Connie (Jim) Chenoweth of Hillman; David (Judy) Cohoon of Holly; Roger (Lucy) Cohoon of Hillman; Sheila (Gary) LaFleche of Hillman; Barb Cohoon of Alpena; Ron (Patty) Cohoon of Belleville; and Russell (Patty) Cohoon of Hillman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Doris; and brother, Daryl.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Earl privately at this time.
