Durwood Keetch

Durwood Joseph Keetch Durwood Joseph Keetch, 61, 0f Hillman, MI, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. He married the former Barbara McKenzie on October 24, 1964 in Hillman. "Shorty", as he was know by many, lived in Hillman all of his life. He attended Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church in Hillman. He owned and operated his own farm for the past 30 yrs, he also spent 5 yrs working for the State Highway Department. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and working in the woods. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading westerns. Above all else, he loved to spend time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Durwood is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Duncan Keetch, Larry Keetch of Atlanta, MI, Daniel (Tina) Keetch of Hillman, MI, and Douglas (Elena) Keetch of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; mother, Agnes Keetch of Hillman, MI; brother, Dick (Barb) Keetch of Hillman, MI; and three sisters, Agnes (David) Mulholland of Owosso, MI, Edith Theim of Hillman, MI, and Sue (Linn) Shiffer of Hillman, MI. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI, Rev Arthur Fournier officiating. Interment will take place at Hillman Rust Twp Cemetery.
