Duane Carl Kidder

Duane Carl "Dewey" Kidder, 68, of Millersburg, MI passed on October 6, 2023 at Brian's House in Essexville, MI. Duane was born in Hastings, MI to James and JoAnne (Christie) Kidder on June 4, 1955.  

For nearly all of his life, Duane resided in Montmorency County (Hillman or Atlanta). Over the years, he worked many skilled labor jobs, oil rigs in North Dakota, Dairy/Agricultural farming, Heavy Equipment Operation, Logging, School Bus Driver to name a few.  Duane loved fishing at the cabin in Canada, riding his Harley, and family and friends. He never hesitated to help anyone in need of anything. He was always willing to lend a hand or a piece of equipment. He will be greatly missed by many.  

Duane is survived by his daughters, Sherry Figueroa and Kimberlee Kidder; grandchildren Sierra, Brooklyn, Aaden, Brookelynn, Brayden, Brynlee; his special nephew Christopher (Teresa) Pollard; brothers, Danny Kidder, Christopher Kidder, Troy Kidder, Scott Kidder; sisters, Brenda (David) Roux, Debbie Bailey, and Katherine Cruz; and several nieces and nephews. 

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, James and JoAnne Kidder; brothers, Mark Kidder, Bradley Kidder, and Doug Kidder; and sister, Linda Pollard.  

There will be a graveside service held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Briley Township Cemetery where Duane will be laid to rest. A celebration of life is being planned for the Spring of 2024.
