Douglas Lee Davidge Mr. Douglas Lee Davidge, 64 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away suddenly on November 3, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late, Norman and Frances (Milby) Davidge on May 31, 1949. He served his country as a proud veteran in the United States Army. He married wife, Barbara (Bowman) Davidge and together the couple raised both a son and daughter. Douglas moved to Atlanta in 2001, formerly of Woodhaven. He retired from Great Lakes Steel as a foreman after 32 years. He was a member of the Big Rock Congregational Church in Atlanta, as well as the Trenton-Wyandotte Masonic Lodge #170. He lived and breathed hunting and enjoyed shooting. He loved his dog, "Grady," and his time spent with family and friends. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by wife, Barbara Davidge of Petoskey; son, Dave (Angie) Davidge of Lenoir City, Tennessee; daughter, Holly (Doug) Franckowiak of Elmira; and grandchildren; Hayden, Ryan, Jack, and Jesse. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Frances Davidge. Funeral services for Mr. Davidge will be held at 3:00PM, Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, Michigan, Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Visitation will start at 2:00PM and continue until time of service. Interment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park; Flat Rock, Michigan on Thursday, November 14, 2013.
He is survived by wife, Barbara Davidge of Petoskey; son, Dave (Angie) Davidge of Lenoir City, Tennessee; daughter, Holly (Doug) Franckowiak of Elmira; and grandchildren; Hayden, Ryan, Jack, and Jesse. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Frances Davidge.
