Douglas Leonard Bebout Douglas Leonard Bebout, 57, of Winn, MI formerly of Lewiston, MI, passed away on Friday March 30, 2007 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on July 1, 1949 to Leonard Earl and Mary Ellen (Smith) Bebout in Pontiac, MI. He married the former Tonja Rasmussen on November 17, 1984 at Big Rock Congregational Church in Atlanta. Doug served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. Mr. Bebout lost his courageous battle with health complications relating to his exposure to Agent Orange during Vietnam. His illness forced him to leave Garland Golf Course where he had worked in grounds maintenance for 30 years. He was an avid hunter, with his bow, rifle, or blackpowder, he enjoyed hunting deer, turkey, bear, ducks and more. He enjoyed fishing, especially for salmon. Above all else, he loved his family. Doug is survived by his wife, Tonja or Winn, MI; daughter, Jennifer (Brian Adams) Rasmussen-Bebout, of Florida; son, Douglas Bebout of Alpena, MI; daughter, Amber (Scott) Bays of Alpena,MI; 1 grandson; mother, Mary Ellen Bebout of Atlanta, MI; sister, Carolyn (Bob) Pace of Clarkston, MI; brother, Richard (Jen) Bebout of Hubbardson, MI; many nieces and nephews; 3 great nephews; and 1 great great nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Bebout. Funeral services for Mr. Bebout will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Lewiston, MI, Pator Ken McGarvey officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. The family has suggested memorials to Hospice Of Central Michigan, 401 S Main St, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858.
