Doty Ellis Jr

Doty Ellis Jr Mr. Doty Ellis Jr., 78 of Hillman, Michigan passed away on November 13, 2013 surrounded by loved ones at his home. He was born to the late, Doty and Alma (Jenkins) Ellis in Swiftown, Missouri on May 16, 1935. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and made over 150 jumps as a Paratrooper. He married wife, Susan (Allen) Ellis on December 6, 2002 in Dallas, Georgia. The couple moved to Hillman three years ago. Doty worked for the Atlanta Iron Workers Local 387 in Georgia for over 35 years. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting, and also gardening. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends. He is survived by wife, Susan Ellis of Hillman; sons, Kenny (Lisa) Ellis; Ricky Ellis; daughters, Linda (Neil) White; Carol Buckland; Robin (Randy) Jordan; Ginnette George; Debbie (Nelson Mark) Buckland all of Georgia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Theresa (Rodney) Herman; Sandra (Jason) Wiley both of Hillman; and sister, Betty Jane Reynolds of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doty and Alma Ellis; and son, Mark Ellis. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned for Mr. Ellis at this time.
He is survived by wife, Susan Ellis of Hillman; sons, Kenny (Lisa) Ellis; Ricky Ellis; daughters, Linda (Neil) White; Carol Buckland; Robin (Randy) Jordan; Ginnette George; Debbie (Nelson Mark) Buckland all of Georgia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Theresa (Rodney) Herman; Sandra (Jason) Wiley both of Hillman; and sister, Betty Jane Reynolds of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doty and Alma Ellis; and son, Mark Ellis.
As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned for Mr. Ellis at this time.
