Dorothy Emogene Loop, 94, of Comins, MI died at her home on Sunday, May 5, 2019. She was born on January 24, 1925 to Elmer and Helen (Schebella) Davis in Onaway, Michigan. She served her country proudly in the US Navy. Dorothy retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service as a Time Keeper. In retirement, she enjoyed working as a crossing guard and lunch mom until she was 85 years old at Warren Consolidated Schools. She loved playing BINGO every Tuesday and Wednesday night, and liked keeping up with friends and family on Facebook. She enjoyed watching baseball and was a Detroit Tiger's fan through and through. Dorothy also used to like to crochet when she was able.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Leonard) Genge of Tawas City, Michigan, and Linda Peters of Comins, Michigan; son, Roy (Beverly) Loop of Warren, Michigan; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and sisters, Rose Adams of Florida, Eileen Fitch of Gladwin, Michigan, and Sandy Murphy of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Helen; and a sister, Marion Hinkle.
As were her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial held in celebration of Dorothy's life at the Loud Township Hall on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM.
