Doris Stezecinski

Doris Lorraine Stezecinski Mrs. Doris Lorraine Stezecinski, 93 of Hillman, Michigan passed away at her home surrounded by loving family on June 1, 2013. She was born to the late, Joshua Thomas and Dena Hilda (Hohman) Tayman in Baltimore, Maryland on November 6, 1919. She has lived in Hillman for over the last 20uears, formerly of Anne Arundel, Maryland. She worked for Acme Markers Incorporation and retired after 20 years working as a comptometer operator. Doris was a past member of the Crisp Memorial Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, MD for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and macramé. She was artistic and liked painting, rides in the woods, and being out in nature. Doris was a kind, gentle, loving soul that will be missed dearly by all those who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Dena Hogarth of Hillman; brother, Vincent Stezecinski III of Miami, FL; granddaughter, Debbie (Kim) Schalk of Hillman; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way; and close family friends, Mark (Martha) Rucinski and family of Warren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Dawn Richards-Hartman; brother, John Thomas "Buddy" Tayman; sisters, Ruth Johnson and Kathryn Gilligan. Funeral services for Mrs. Stezecinski were held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI, Rev. Jack Johnston officiating. Interment took place at Hillman/Rust Twp Cemetery.
