Donna Vanluchene

Donna Marie VanLuchene, 77 of Gaylord, Michigan died peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family on July 6, 2020. She was born in Highland Park, Michigan on June 26, 1943 to the late, Richard and Pearl (Gelisse) Frushour. She has resided in Gaylord for the last 25+ years. Donna was very social and enjoyed to go sightseeing and out to eat with her best friend, Cindy. Prior to moving to Gaylord, she lived in Houghton Lake with her mother and family where she owned and operated Beach Grove Resort. She enjoyed puzzles, trips to the casino and baking during Christmas. Her greatest joy was the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and through her love of crocheting she made each of them a blanket. Donna will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Bridget (James) Harland of Grayling; sons, Scott (Kathy) VanLuchene of Gaylord; Chuck (Faye) VanLuchene of Grayling; grandchildren, Jamey (Ashley), Sarah (Timmy), Shawn, Whitney, Gavin; and great-grandchildren, Quasean, Davontae, Mila, Liam, Emelia,Jovie, and Remington; brother, Michael (Susan) Frushour of Missouri; and her best friend, Cindy McBride of Gaylord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Pearl Frushour; brother, Richard Frushour; and grandchild, Anthony VanLuchene.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Donna privately at this time.
