Donald Lee Oelke Donald Lee Oelke, 56, of Vanderbilt, MI, passed away on December 29, 2006 at his residence. He was born on March 22, 1950 to Norman and Donna Oelke in Omaha, NB. He married the former Susan Brown on February 28, 1981 in Dearborn, MI. Don had lived in Vanderbilt for the past 21 yrs, formerly of Canton Twp, MI. He worked as a fire fighter for Canton Twp for 14 yrs, then owned and operated Cabbage Patch Farms Photography with his wife for many years. He also worked as a veterinarian tech at Gaylord Veterinary Hospital. He was a member of Friendship Church in Gaylord. He enjoyed raising his Jacob Sheep and spinning their wool. Don is survived by his wife, Susan of Vanderbilt; brother, Richard (Mo) Oelke of Taylor, MI; sister, Deborah McFearson of LasVegas, NV; and father in law, Larry Brown of Wayne, MI. As were his wishes cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held at Friendship Church in Gaylord on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 1:00 PM, Pastor Steve Datema officiating
