Donald Grant McKenzie Donald Grant McKenzie, 80, of Lewiston, formerly of Dearborn, MI, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008 at Tendercare Nursing Home in Gaylord, MI. He was born on August 8, 1927 to Kenneth and Hilda (Schultze) McKenzie in Stratford, Ontario. He marred the former Sylvia Williams on April 16, 1955 in Wyandotte, MI. Don worked for Ford Motor Co. retiring from the Dearborn plant as an Industrial Engineer after 38 yrs with Ford. He was a member of the Retired Ford Engineers Group, and enjoyed woodworking, crossword puzzles, and photography. He was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time on West Twin Lake boating. Donald is survived by his wife, Sylvia of Lewiston, MI; sons, Keith (Mary Jo) McKenzie of Commerce Twp, MI, and Tom (Lorna) McKenzie of Livonia, MI; daughter, Annette (John) Skelly of Livonia, MI; grandchildren, Kelsey, Allyson, Leah, Nicole, Nathaniel, and Natalie; ans a sister, Marian Lyons of Sterling Heights, MI. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Griffin Funeral Home in Westland, MI, on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at 2:00 PM, Rev Randy Short officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or Hospice of Michigan.
