Donald Edwin Ford Mr. Donald Edwin Ford, 89 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on September 13, 2016 at McReynolds Hall in Gaylord. He was born in Troy, Michigan on December 21, 1926 the son of Elmer and Alta Ford. Don was a proud veteran serving his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Don moved to Lewiston in 1992, formerly of Red Oak where he owned and operated Ford's General Construction & Plumbing for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & woodworking. More importantly, Don enjoyed his time spent with family & friends. He will be dearly missed by all that had the privilege to know & love him. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Ford of Lewiston; daughters, Diane (John) Krausch of Oscoda; Karen/Susie (Scott) Mathewson of Lewiston; son, Jerry Ford of Lewiston; grandchildren, Jessica (Ilias) Margaris, Sean Krausch, McKenzie & McGwire Mathewson, and Joseph Donald Ford; brother-in- law Stuart Olsen of Daytona Beach (FL); sister-in-law Virginia Olsen of Huston (TX). He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Alta Ford; and sister, Alliene. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held at a later date.
